You must have been real lucky to have a good cable companyCable for the Woodstock Concert and for Edenfest. I didn't watch Edenfest, I was there.
Edenfest was 3-day concert that took place July 12–14, 1996 at Mosport Park, in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada.
The concert sold over 70,000 tickets total for the 3 day event and was attended by another estimated 20,000 people who walked into the concert site after the outside security broke down. This festival that included music as well as multiple other types of performers was held by Eden Entertainment Group based in Buffalo, New York. The concert was one of the first major concerts to be streamed live over the internet. This event was the largest rock festival held in Canada to date. Artists that performed include The Tragically Hip, The Cure, Porno for Pyros, Bush, Live, the Goo Goo Dolls, Ani DiFranco and over 50 other performers.
Is there a point to all this? Yeah, at the time, it was AdelphiaYou must have been real lucky to have a good cable company

Right on cue... I got an email today from At&t -Directv. The first I ever got with Directv as part of the heading. (I have At&t cell)
It's a survey about streaming, preferences etc. Interestingly once you open the survey it's only Directv as the heading on each page of the survey. Questions like do you know about streaming available from At&t? have you used At&t Watch TV? Have you used online streaming...Nothing about satellite at all.
"Market in View LLC, an independent market research firm, has been asked by AT&T to collect feedback on your video services."
Interesting news. I just signed up with Dish again after streaming for the last year or so. YouTube tv is the best and most reliable but still not the same experience as Dish even with 100mb internet. Prices have gone up though. Glad to be back, install tomorrow.
The sister-in law- only lasted 3 weeks before she had it reinstalled. Streaming sounds great until that is all you have . Someday, but not today.
What directv is doing is basically cable over internet...its not really streaming as we know it...you will have the same experience as satellite without the ugly pizza dish

This hasn't launched yetI had that one as well. If you look at the reviews and Reddit’s and try them all they all have different reliability and channels. Yes they have locals in some/most markets and live sports. Trouble is with some of the providers during a high peak time like championship games they bill buffer no matter the speed of internet. Also, they all pixelate at times and downgrade in resolution. They’re about 30-60 seconds behind dish. Picture quality isnt quite as good. You can have 2-5 streams per household depending on service. The dvr isn’t nearly as good as it is a cloud dvr. The guides aren’t quite as good. Yes you can save money and it’s a compromise of some sorts. Most are missing either some channels. For ex yttv is missing scripps/discovery/Viacom nfl network and rz.
I also think the pricing is not going to last as they’re already losing money on each sub.
