ASC-1 and RG-11

A few things to think about when using RG11. First, the compression connector on a RG11 cable contains its own center conductor, so the core RG11 wire is not what goes into the female part. Second, RG11 is much stiffer and could put strain on the connector of the device its connected to. Its best to use a pigtail for the last foot or so at each end if there's any chance the cable could pull or stress the parts its connected to. Obviously, fewer connections is always better but not at the cost of breaking or stressing parts.

Thanks for the replies, im not real familiar with rg-11. I was aware that you had to use different connectors. All I know is im going to be putting in a different cable run to my setup and it will be over 150' so RG-11 will be used.
