I'm a Dish subscriber... for now... but it was shown to me in the SF Chronicle that it seems there is the usual battle over fees between CSN and DirecTV over A's games in the Bay Area. The team has moved from CSNBA to CSNCA and also increased the number of games+programming over the course of the season. CSN says that since its costs will go up it can demand more money from DirecTV as its prorated. Of course they do not agree and will black out the games. In return, CSN will claim breach of contract.
It's the same-ol same-ol of course and such things are often worked out. But I would think this issue would have already been spelled out in the contract pretty clearly since the same would apply if CSN showed fewer games. It also wouldnt surprise me if MLB is quietly expressing some displeasure.
