Looks like good coverage on Ku, let's hope they use it for something interesting! (Of course, it'll probably be behind a tree for me, as I'm on the verge of losing 72W right now...)

C4 is now geostationary along side C2. I haven't seen any testing yet, but will report when I do.

C4's beacons are at 11,700.25 H and 12,199.05 V
C2's beacons are at 11,700.50 H and 12,199.30 V

I think got a very weak signals on freq, 11.091 Ghz, H Bitrate : 32.728 MBs and the signal is barly locked in and out.

I think they are still testing at this time.:biggrin

More update I found other new transponder's freq, 11.891 GHz, H Bitrate: 32.728.

The signal is little better at 18 to 37 % here in New Mexico!:) So far no video audio just blank data carrier, So I think they are still teasting.

So hang in there!:hungry

My lastest news updates!:bow Now this time they are sending radio feed with banner called: Hipasat 4K HEVC!

Freq, 11.135 GHz, H the signal is still weak with some audio dropout 0 to 35%. It's amazing they are TXing this lowere Ku band freqs, 10.7 to 11.7 GHz! Make you feel you are in Europe!:biggrin Please send in your signal report thanks!

The 11,095 H 32,728 and 11,135 H 29,999 signals are from Amazonas at 61W.
Good find on those. I've never seen any reports of signals below 11,700 GHz on the Amazonas North American beam.

Typically I won't expect any DVB type signals from C4 just yet. I'd expect to see just carriers as they test the transponders for a week or so. The carriers show up well in the spectrum displays of programs like Crazy Scan or EBSpro, but a DVB receiver won't lock them. I haven't seen anything yet.

I've never seen any lockable signal from Star One C4. I do see some very weak signals (1 dB SNR) that are probably from the beam that covers western South America up through southern Mexico and parts of the Caribbean.

Here is some info from Star One that explains why they aren't using the North American beam. The D1 Satellite they refer to is a future C/Ku/Ka Band satellite that will be located at 84 W. It will mostly cover just South America, but does have one Ku Band beam that covers Mexico.

"Once Star One D1 is launched, the company hopes to free up some capacity to move into the North American market as well."

“We have switchable capacity over North America in both Star One C4 and D1. As the needs of our current Brazilian, Central and South American customers have been very demanding, making us operate with high fill rates within our fleet, so far there has not been available capacity to switch to North America as we had done in the past. With the arrival of the new D1, however, we hope to initiate some operation there,”
