So you guys eat squirrels (rodents), and ants? Should have fought harder in the civil war, then you would have been able to eat some real food. Or maybe it's a dental problem?

Well, today is going to be day #50 over 100F here in Bryan/College Station, so I thought that I would resurrect this thread. Oh, and we've had a whopping 10" of rain in 2011 (26" is normal to this point). I have spent my summer trying to save two beautiful old oak trees that are really suffering. I have also been trying to put together a plan to be out of here within three years. I am getting too old for these summers.

Yes, I would happily take cheese with my whine, but it would melt.

It's strange, I have lived in the south approx. 30 of my 46 years...being raised down here...and I just do not consider myself to be from the south... I am such a dam gypsy!

Florida isn't the real South. Mostly, that's where the snow birds go to retire.

I was about to say. We claim the panhandle region, but once you get south of that, its a different culture.

Of course, some of our awesomeness spills over, which is why they have good football from time to time.
