I am happy with Dish. The signal from my receiver is better quality than the signal
from my VCR and a videotape. (That's no big surprise I guess...analog vs digital)
In 6 years we've only lost signal about 3 times, during very heavy heavy rainstorms.
The signal always came back in though--no fuss, no messing with the dish.
I've worked for Dish as a Customer Service Rep.--and yes, billing issues can take
awhile to resolve. I took all kinds of calls, and I'd say better than 95% were
happy with Dish Network...even if they were calling for technical help, or billing
problems or whatever.
It's true, with their new Digital Home Advantage plan, you can lease for 3 or
4 months, and just turn it all back in if you don't like it. There is no longer
a one year commitment.
