Are there any Norwegian channels available by satellite in the US?

I think any channels from Norway are on the other side of the globe and not on any satellites here in North America

Jah, sure. Most anything from Michigan and Seattle WA. are at least Scandinavian! Oh, but not from Norway!

Closest thing I've seen is "New Scandinavian Cooking" on Create

Most of us 2nd and 3rd generation Norwegians don't speak the language, and if you've been in the Upper Midwest, there's a lot of thrifty Scandinavians that would balk at a full priced satellite service. Could be why you don't see anything from any of the Nordic countries on FTA or subscription satellite in North America.
You might take a look at IPTV and see if anything Norsk shows up there---it costs a lot less to launch a service on the Internet than on satellite.
