Are 3D televisions worth the price?

Aren't the theaters just reissuing the glasses over and over, probably without even washing them?

They go through a recycling (cleaning) process.

Every pair I've ever gotten (and taken home) were pristine... (have a passive set in the camper)

The theaters recycle/ return the glasses and the new ones are even repackaged in plastic wrapper.

I wondered whether Disney cleans the glasses and her's the answer:
