Archos 605 w 622 & 722 DVR Not Working

I have a Archos 605 that upto a few months ago worked with both my 622 and 722. But now when I plug it in to download, the DVRs don't recognize the unit. The unit states "no media device is plugged in" when I try to upload. I tried a friends Archos and this usb cable with no luck

I have added a sling adapter and the external hard drive options in the past few months, but I doubt that is a problem.

I call Archos and they thought Dish still supported the Archos.

Any help appreciated

Try disconnecting the EHD when you connect the Archos if you haven't. Have you downloaded the DISH Network plug-in from archos.com? We still support it from what I've been able to find. Also, make sure the Archos is plugged into a power outlet.
 
thanks for the response. I have tried unplugging the EHD and I do have the plug-in from archos. the Archos is also powered when I plug it in. The strange part is how this worked a few months ago and not now.
 
The preferred method is:
1. Turn the receiver off
2. Unplug it from the power outlet
3. Wait 15 seconds
4. Plug it back in and let it go through the reboot process (takes about 5 minutes)

Your recordings will not be effected.
