A few more comments from me. Wish it were just 1/2 pound lighter. iBooks pretty good. I can see reading a book on it where I never could on my notebook. Ok, worked on my email with it. Wow, it is easy and intuitive. Facebook doesn't need an app anymore - full screen website version much better than the iphone app has ever been. Sync'd my entires audio and video library to it (took around 1 1/2 hours - seems to be slower than iphone syncing (I am not using music convert to 128AAC either). Tried doing a document in Pages. I was surprised at my ability to touch type on the screen. Very few mistakes.
Some of the cons:
A little heavy - I worry my 7 year old will drop it as it doesn't have a Wii like wrist strap!
Doesn't charge from my Dell Laptop USB port (low power port) - it will if the iPad is sleeping but not when it is on (a "feature" according to Apple)
Lots of fingerprints all over it, but interesting enough they only seem to show with the screen off. When you turn it on they don't seem to show up.
Syncing slower than iPhone 3GS (or seems to be so far)
iPad app store - no easy way to see all "free" apps (that I can find so far), there are two side by side columns of paid and free and you have to keep hitting "show me more". One errant click and you have to start back at the top of the list.
Have had about 3 "reboots" requires (version 1 software issues), where some apps would start, disappear and wouldn't restart until I rebooted. Sure those will be fixed now that developers will have their hands on the actual devices and when 3.2.x iPad OS releases from Apple.
