I sell communication to MDU properties and I ran into one with a little bit different problem. All the units have a home run cable, but once in the unit the cable and coax daisy chain around the unit from one outlet to another. What im wondering is basically what equipment i will need to make this work. I understand the LMB's and the multiplexers but basically after they reach inside the unit, i need to be able to go from one cable into a receiver, and then onto the next one, on a "daisy chain" of up to 4 or 5 TV's. i realize this is typical for cable, but i want to know the technical and hardware components I would need. my first thought was single tuner, to a multiplexer, jump the cable to the next unit, and then another multiplexer. Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated.

You need a DISH QAM setup. Build a headend with QAM transcoders and send the signals down the line like digital cable. You need QAM satellite receivers as well.
AH so i need a head-end? do you happen to have any kind of model to point me in the right direction? When i search for them i find all different prices and im assuming it depends on the amount of units. There are about 150 units that I need to have done and ill assume this is the only way we can accomplish this the way the cables are run.
Is it possible to introduce a second coax in to each unit, preferably at the other end or middle of the daisy chain (more wiring solutions)? With that, the customer could have two dual-tuner receivers to support a total of four TVs. Diplexers can be installed at the time of installation. Most configurations could be supported that way. You will need to install DPP44 switches, 1 switch will support 2 apartment units with the above configuration. You can cascade 3 switches in series and with the use of a DP Quad LNB, you can run a second set of switches for a parallel configuration for a total of 6 switches, for a total of 12 dwellings. If you tag all your lines, and handle move-out disconnects, you can probably get a better amount of units per switch by disconnecting unused outlets, etc.
