Anyway to get H3 for free?

I've been with dish almost a year and have regular Hopper.
Any body in my shoes been able to upgrade to H3 for free?

Most get it for free with just a small install fee since they have to roll a truck. If you have the warranty even that is free in some cases. You have to sign a new Two year contract as its like a cell phone , the Hopper 3 is worth a ton of money.
It all depends on a formula.
How much time is left in your current contract AND your credit rating or special Dish score that know one knows what it is.
You have to call and ask if its free. If not say thank you and try a 2nd time.

I don't know about "a ton of money" - Amazon has one you can purchase for $250.
By getting us on the hook for 24 months it works out to a little over $10 a month so I'm pretty sure they are making money.

Dont forgot you also need a New Hybrid LNB AND a new Switch.
And Joey 1.0s are not supported so if you have them they need upgraded to the new Joey 2.0 box.
