Anyone get better than low 30's signal on 61.5

On a clear day getting low 30's signal strength on 61.5. Any kind of clouds or weather causes dropouts, teens & lower. New to 61.5 for a month now. This is very frustrating because I am getting mid to upper 50's, low 60's on 110/119. Using 2 DISH 500's and was told that 61.5 would have better signal than 110/119 due to higher look angle. Doesn't seem to be the case. Is it possible that my dish just needs further adjustment or is this what I can expect from here on forward? 61.5 dropped out this evening in the middle of a movie and the family (especially wife) is not happy with the constant dropouts.

not sure about your alignment, but my 61.5 wing dish gets mid 60's low 70's here in arkansas. might need some tweaking of the dish though.

DP dual into DPP Twin. 50's across the board. Only dropout was caused by ice accumulated on the dish so far.

No it isn't. But you didn't specify which transponders. Some are lower than others, and spotbeams aimed some where else can be very low or even 0. In this thread last year, lots of us posted our signal strengths for all transponders when they started spotbeams on 61.5.http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-ne...ignals-can-you-see-61-5-a.html?highlight=61.5

Thanks for the link. I will try comparing what I'm getting with what's been reported. I suspect that my alignment needs some tweaking.

Ok based on that other thread I went through all the transponders and I guess I'm not getting low 30's on all tps, but my signal levels seem to be a bit lower than others in the northeast. I guess at some point we will have to tweak the dish a bit. right now there is a lot of snow on the roof so will have to wait.
