While watching our local NBC satation (WHEC Rochester, NY) I was getting break up and momentary loss of signal screen this am. Perfectly clear here. Don't know if they are having weather issues at the uplink. Anyone else?

This could also be solar interfernce. Its spring equinox so each satellite position can be affected for several minutes throughout the day. The 61.5 would be earlier on than the western stuff.

Forgot all about that. Was a big thing back in the BUD days. That could be it.

Yeah. The DBS dishes seem to be less affected but it does still happen. I've witnessed it myself on both my own and when out installing. I know the 110/119/129 are affected about 30 minutes apart in the mid to late afternoon where I am so I'd assume that the 61.5 would be sometime before lunch for you and me both.

This of course may not even be your issue but just a thought.

It shouldn't be solar interference. Due to parallax, the Clarke belt is below the celestial equator from all of North America, so since we're already past the equinox, nobody in North America should be having solar interference anymore this spring.

According to my wife who was watching Rachael Ray it was a link problem with ch 13 from its source, not Dish.

Did she contact 13? More likely solar interference. Back in the big dish era, you could track the interference across the arc. When the sat and the sun line up, the sun's radiation overpowers the sat's signal. Last only a few minutes.

She did not contact them. They put a notice on the video that they had incoming issues. Per post #7 it was not solar. The problem lasted almost an hour... probably a defective piece of hardware along the chain.
