I can understand the point of nested channels in the case of Dish CD, SiriusXM, PPV, and other large blocks of channels. But, they are also doing it with Internationals and RSN's, which not only adds no value, it is anti-value.
The Japanese language "pack" consists of ONE channel. So, instead of what I had with my VIP's, just a single channel #640, I now have two channels- 623-0 which is a nest for 623-1. Why would they do something so incredibly stupid and inefficient? My RSN's consist of two channels (four including SD and HD). In their case, I just want to have all four visible at all times, not nested.
It seems that if I expand the nest, it will stay that way the next time I view that Favorite list. But, now I have extra channels cluttering up the EPG, which is the opposite of what the nested channels is supposed to accomplish.
Also, the channels have different numbers, which is confusing.
Is there a way to disable this unwanted feature, and restore traditional functionality and channel numbers to those affected channels. (Somebody please say yes.)
