Any specials running now for current customers?

Just curius if anyone knew if there were any specials running for current customers right now. All of the specials seemed to be geared toward the new customer base. Just wondering about us current subscribers.

The specials are always geared to new customers.

Existing customers depend on the length and value of their account, and all you can do is call in and ask if you are looking for something special - be it hardware, programming, bill amount, etc.

Every account is treated different based on it's valuation to DirecTV.

I called tonight to ask a couple of unrelated questions but asked about any current specials and was told there are none. However, I've gotten some free crap lately like Superfan so the above posters statements may explain that.

Just to save you some disappointment..... you're not getting the setup you're asking for free.... no matter who you talk to.... you're looking at anywhere between $400 and $600 just to install that setup (assuming they even let people have 3 DVRs now)

I used the movers connection and got a good deal. Free Premier for 4 months, Sunday ticket, no HD or DVR Fees for 6 months and got another HD-DVR for 99.00 and a free standard DVR. I now have 3 HD-DVR's and 1 standard DVR. I am pretty happy. The best part about it, I didn't even ask for it, the CSR asked if I would be interested in that.

I doubt that they would give me one for free and I've been with them for awhile.

They are not required to give you an ADVANCED rec. for free, they usually may do that with the SD rec.'s but if you get the Advanced rec.'s for free consider yourself lucky.

You should not have to pay anywhere's near this, the basic install IS free, you pay a small amount of money for each rec. normally.

If you would like, you can pay the full $ 800 for each of the HR 20x's ... would that make you happier ?

Some paid $ 1000 for the HD TIVO's when they came out, that was a buy , not a lease, they went to the lease so people could afford them.

Last month, I received a postcard from D* informing me that because I am a valued sub I was receiving 12 months of Showtime for free as an aniversary present. And that it was active as I was reading the card. I checked and there it was, and has been everyday. I didn't ask for this but I will accept it. Thanks, D*.

That's a lot better deal than we being offered 6 months ago.. 3 DVRs (especially with 2 of them being HD) would have run you about $500 (LEASED)

Now you're talking $199.
