Last question I promise, but seeing how our local CW is apparently Cable Only and to not have to pay for both Direct TV and Cable a waiver form would have to be used, was simply wondering if any of you have ever had to use one and how long and tenuous of a process it was.
My older sister's boyfriend said that the various local stations pretty much laughed at him when he tried to get them to sign a waiver form a few years ago.... I'm hoping this isn't indicative of how the process usually goes.
My roommate and his wife simply have to get access to The CW and I'm hoping that Direct TV will be willing to send me a waiver form rather easily (perhaps not likely) and that Cable One who owns our local CW will be willing to sign (not perhaps unlikely.. but just plain unlikely)
Worst case I'll help the two of them pay for Cable in addition to The Direct TV.. but that's clearly not ideal... as we would be paying some 50 dollars a month for one station. I use Cable one for my 8 meg internet access as well and I'm not sure if threatening to switch to DSL internet access would make them more likely to sign a waiver.. or if more or less they would simply tell me see ya later and let me leave.
I can get all other locals vis the ota antenna combo and am21 that I have on order.
CW isn't an option being a cable only station and the fact that it's not really a local CW.
Thanks once again and I apologize for all the questions this past week.
