we had heard stries of lots of changes in September. We did see 3 sports cahannels added. are any more likely?

Well if they're trying to elinate the gap of "cable" channels D* has e* doesn't here's a list of things they could try to tackle. Wouldn't say any of these are nessecarly likely...

Fuel
Logo
PBS Kids (because it could not qualify for PI, pbs would charge for this, and dish has resisted carrying it)
Current TV
Fine Living
Fit TV
Fox Reality
Oxygen
TV One
Lifetime Real Women

YES Network
MASN

I realize that there are a lot. I don't want this to turn into another discussion of what they should add. We have plenty of those. Just wondering if there are solid plans for one or more.

lol there are plenty of channels coming after 9/23/05, I see network hds, espn2hd, the rest of the voom, I am going to go out on a limb, but and say the sunday ticket will be added after 9/23/05 also :) its a pretty open ended time frame isnt it? how about lets say what do you think is on dish networks plate in the next 6 months

Dish said no to YES because they want more money than they're asking cable companies to pay.
I hope they get Fox Reality I heard that it was earmarked for this summer but never became a reality.

Doesn't D* have Trio, which E* is also missing?

I don't know a lot about the channel except I used to watch Late Night with David Letterman (his old show from NBC) on it when I had TWC digital. :) Man, I wish someone would pick up the Late Show from Carson's days. If it's never gonna be syndicated, maybe one of Universal's many networks can air it.

But until then, I'd settle for Trio on Dish Network if they're still around and still showing the old Late Night shows.

A little bit off topic but,
I never understood why Discovery felt the need to have 2 channels devoted to health. They have both FitTV and Discovery Health. You would think they would consolidate the programming onto one channel and use the the other channel for more a more watched genre.

Tux,

DirecTV DID have TRIO, but DirecTV has removed that channel. Trio's programing has gotten worse and worse over the last year, to the point DirecTV pulled the channel.

Actually, TRIO has some outstanding programming, better than most standard "cable" channels. It may not compare with FX, USA, or Comedy Central. But, it is certainly on par with Bravo, E, Hallmark, and the like.

I thought I remembered a rumor that Universal was planning on shutting it down, and merging its programming with one or more of its other channels, such as Bravo.

Trio was dropped by D* a long time ago.

Does anybody know where the POP is for the Richmond, VA locals?
