Ok,
Im ready to upgrade my main set. Currently have a Sony 60'' three
year old set. Lamp blew, replaced it and it looks lousy.
Blacks are as grey as can be. I have played with settings.
Set looks awful!

Since main set im hesitant to get plasma because the kids might put on pause too long. Plus gaming will probably be used on new set.

Ive been leaning towards led. Toshiba has a nice package but i think going down to
a 55'' will bug the hell out of me.
I really want 3d...Im ready for it!

I might also add that the room gets light so projector or plasma will be tough.

Any suggestions?

58-60 is an odd size in LED/LCD. Sharp makes a 60". Might want to chekc it out. I wasn't the least bit impressed when I saw one on display. COuld have been their set up. Sony makes the 810 and 900 in 60". They look much better. Electronics Expo has the 810 for 3417. Mits has a great price on the DLPs at 60", also.

Thanks so much...

Thanks so much...

Ive looked at the Mitsubishi at Brandsmart here in Florida.
Maybe its the way its set up but im not wowed by it.
Maybe im wrong??

Plus Im concerned about replacing the lamp. Ive dropped
600 bucks on lamp replacement for 2 sony 60''
in last seven years.

Im kinda done with Sonys...

But Ive heard people who have the Mitsu rave about them.

Mine, in advanced mode, had a very accurate image outta the box (used my meter last night). I think it looks very good, especially after I bumped the light output a hair. In all my reading the bulb will last at least 2 years and is $99, but I plan on a yearly replacement.
