Any Chance of a Deal on NHL Center Ice if I Switch From DirecTV?

Just a bit of background... I'm a long time DirecTV customer but my 2-years expires next month so I'm exploring other options. I haven't had any luck getting Direct to pony up an offer to stay that is nearly as appealing as Dish Networks current offer so I'm seriously thinking about the switch.

The one sticky issue for me is the NHL Center-Ice package. I am subscribed through DirecTV with 2/4 payments remaining. Has anyone heard of anyone getting a break on a sports package from them when you switch? I could likely even live with a half price deal. I spoke to one CSR at Dish and he said no, but I wasn't sure if that was the final word or not. I also offered to provide proof that I was actually subscribed through DTV. Any help or insights appreciated!

Oh yeah... glad to be on board with you guys!

I don't think you have any chance of getting a deal on Center Ice, but as a new customer you may be able to get a deal on something else. It never hurts to ask, the worst it could be is NO and you get the same offer as everyone else. If you PM me I give you a Club dish number and saving you the 49.99 active fee.

Thanks for the info... They did mention on the phone that I would be credited that $49.95 on my first bill, but will absolutely get in touch if that falls off the table.

i switched from directv last month because as a hockey fan i feel dish does much better- they messed up my install and i missed the first week of the season - i got centre ice for 1/2 off-- now, i did have to call a few times to get it applied but i had the guys name, time and date i called and is Operator ID number and they did apply the credit

No...You'll have to either stick it out with DTV until May or lose your $$ on your CI investment.
