Any advanced search options for Dish Pass?

The Dish NBR PDF doesn't give much information about Dish Pass. Does anyone know of any advanced search options for this feature? Three options that I would like to see are:

1) Specify multiple channels (more than 1, but less than all)
2) Wildcards in the search text
3) Words to reject (ex: +Seinfield -"making of")

If anyone knows of any tips & tricks for Dish Pass, please post them here.

Wildcards, etc. are nice, but I doubt it exists in the box.

After all, it's only decades-old technology.
