These are the ota digital channels in my area. Can anyone tell me what type of out door setup will get me these channels. I am more concerned with the ones in ORANGE. Thanks!

A Channel master 3016 should do fine. You shouldn't need a preamp unless you split the signal to more than one TV.
At the end of analog, WPVI will revert to channel 6, so a UHF only antenna is not a good long term selection.

If channel 6 has a rf # of 64 wouldn't a uhf only antenna work? The channelmaster 4228 is a good antenna.

Yes, it will work until December 31, 2008 or April 7, 2009 depending on the final analog shut off date set by Congress. After that WPVI-DT will be on channel 6 again.

I only heard that after I got my db8. hopefully directv's locals will be satisfactory enough for me to get once the DvR comes out next year. I'm having a hard enough time getting WB and FOX in now but now I see if 6 moves back down to 6, then the db8 will be useless for that channel.

If needed Antenas direct has an antenna that is just for low VHF.

how would you join that to the DB8?

and any idea how to find out what channels will and wont be going back to vhf?

well i didn't get a look at what brand it was but when the installer did my DB8 today, his preamp did worse than my amp so I kept the amp.

so if anyone needs a boost for a long run, the home depot one seems decent
