You'll need to call E* to activate the new one and remove the bad one from your account.

You can get a used 311 for $20-50. I have seen some satellite receivers only receive two satellites at once but would not receive three at once in the past. Lately I have seen a few receivers only able to receive one satellite at once. It is a bad receiver if you tried in another room and it done the same thing. You can get the warranty for $5.99 per month and it even covers the shipping and handling and they will send you a remanufactured 311 for no charge.

well i called dish network this morning and got the warranty, and said they could get me another receiver.. what i want to know is, can i get them to send me the dvr upgrade, or would i have to pay for it?
