Looks like everything is back to normal now.

I noticed the havoc Thursday afternoon in my city. Both Esso and Walmart could not accept any debit and some credit cards. Home depot was unaffected.

in the NW Territories, Yukon and Nunavut they lost all communications there and flights were delayed
