I always had luck with LG products.
Starting with the first CD drives - they had the least noisy drives for as long as I use them: from CD to BD/HD, from readers to burners.
Their monitors won't set any world records but the value of most of their electronics products I used was always high.

They were certainly left behind by Samsung over the last 6-9 months in the smartphone handset market. But they haven't given up.

This handset looks like a first on many fronts

It will have a dual-core Tegra-2 chip for starters (what BoxeeBox replaced with Intel in their 5" cube).
And will use a (almost) stock Android OS...
