fox sports is reporting that the reds have interviewed......drum roll please.....dusty baker for the vacant managerial job. they are saying he's their leading candidate. the reds are denying.

i really hope they don't hire him. obviously, i'm not a huge baker fan. not sure he would be a good fit for the reds.

Yes, I heard that too, I was hoping that I was sleeping when I heard it, but it must be true...
I say NO to Dusty ...

He is THE most overrated manager in the last 20 years and the biggest pitcher/arm killer the majors has seen since the rotator cuff tear....if there is a GOD, the REDS ownership will run the other way faster than 21 year old virgin in a bar full of sailors.....!!!:up

But thats just me...:D

How about one Mr. Joe Torre ????

He's probably going to be available soon.
Then we could see once again how good of a manager he is, without an All- Star team to manage.

there's an interesting thought. my preference would still be joe girardi. however, if joe's out in the bronx, tony l. says no, girardi would be the popular choice to manage the yanks.

heard last night, they had signed him to three-year deal. i will commend the reds for hiring a known quantity, its just they hired the wrong guy. i bet the honeymoon ends after one, maybe, two years!
