You bet !!! Larry

I haven't played with Analog Ku in weeks , but I do know that once College sports like Football and Basketball start , you'll be able to find plenty of feeds weekends and weeknights.

Thanks! I picked up a new analog c/ku band receiver for $31 so i was just curious. Figured I can't go wrong at that price :)

right now there is only a couple weak test cards on 85,105 & 121

but as fall approaches it will pick up :)

and as noted, use a standard LNB

Just an explanation as to why you need a Standard

analog is fixed frequencies...11720 for TP1 and add 20 to each channel
11740, 11760, etc

When you use a Universal, the frequencies are off by 150mhz (due to the LNB LO for a Universal being 10600 so they are 150mhz lower) so they have to be changed in the box...and will only go up to channel 18 (then you are higher than 12200)

Ice,

got a quick question about the universal. I noticed on the Fortec Lifetime ultra (latest freebie that I am still trying to fully figure out :) ) that there were 2 universal LNBs. One was 9750/10600 (normally what I would see) and the other was 9750/10750. Is there a universal lnb on the market that has those settings? If so, that would be the perfect Linear LNB for KU :)

I haven't seen one. Most everything I see is 9750/10600...maybe Europe uses it??

I wonder what happens if you change the info in the ultra to 9750/10750 if it will work??

Hmm.....only place I have a uni at is at IS-9 and AMC 6. Both don't have any analog feeds at this time (never at IS-9) I'd like to see what the Univ 2 setting does for the analog receiver. I don't wat to touch the 4 footer. Friend of mine might be letting me use a 90cm to see if I can get T12 this week. Maybe I'll try hooking it up to AMC 2 quickly since the analog test signal is pretty decent for me. That would be awsome if the Ultra offset the freq to enable analog useage :) If I knew that, I would have bought the BSC621-2 instead of the standard

Damn...I have the 621-2 and need the normal (want to hook it up to G4 for the nets on C-Band and the audio on the 4DTV) ;)

right now its not hooked up to anything...been too hot out. The dish in the garage has a ASC421 on there right now..

give me a day or so and I'll swap it out and see if it works with the frequency at 9750/10750 on analog KU :)
I guess I can try 85W for the test card

What do you plan on doing with the 2nd 6 footer. Got a stationary position in mind?

ghetto move it...Havent really decided. Might put it on T6,G3,T5 for the feeds but may just leave it out in front of the garage since I can get more satellites there :)

Scott
It doesnt work :(

As soon as I flip to 9750/10750 I get no quality on digital..analog nothing :(

I know I was on AMC2 because I did get the Dish digital test card with the LNB LO at 9750/10600

Damm!

Well, we can always bring it up to sadoun at thier convention. Gotta believe that there is a univ lnb out there that does 9750/10750 if its in the settings

It was a good idea in theory :)

Although i have learned this C/KU combo LNB can be a pain to work with

BWT....a great stationary place for that dish and the 621-2 would be IS-9. No Ku analog, but all lo band digital. A couple of reg Cband channels (not that great) but full of feeds from what I've read.
