Hello everyone
I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself.
I am Allan Mikkelsen from Denmark, and I've been made aware of this site through one of my US friends, who is a satelite-tv buff like myself!
I've always liked watching satellite tv. I like to subscribe to as much different content as at all possible, cince I both like having the ultimate freedom of choice, and besides that, I do find it fascinating being able to watch tv-content from different parts of the world.
Now, thanks to the wonders of owning a slingbox, I am now able to watch US TV officially here in Denmark also. It is absolutely great, and at the moment I am enjoying the offerings from directtv!
Cince I am blind, I am watching as many programmes as I can, that contains DVS, descriptive video service. This feature is availible using the SAP channel, and I am using this whaere ever programmes are described.
Unfortunatlly the US tvlistings do not often tell if a programme is described or not, and I am currently on the look out for a relyable listings page that does contain this information.
If you think you'll be able to help out - please drop me a line.
Apart from subscribing to US tv services, I am also subscribing to the services from our own providers here in Denmark. these are called Viasat and canal Digital. I also do have a subscription so that I can wach UK tv from sky television - so you see, I really am a huge sat-buff that enjoys the tv content of as many countries as possible.
Actually, at present, I am looking into expanding my subscriptions even further by adding canadien channels if possible. Hopefully this will be dooable in the future in some way.
Well, this was just a little about me and my sat-tv subscriptions, just fire away, should you have any comments or questions.
All the best
