Any idea if we will get AMC in HD this year? I love Mad Men and Breaking Bad and it would be great to watch them in HD.
During the March Charlie Chat both AMC and IFC were slated to go HD by years end.
Both are Rainbow affiliates and hopefully some if not all of the VOOM programs will be broadcast there.
I've had AMC HD on cable for awhile, and they finally started showing movies in HD. At least they show movies in OAR unlike FX HD, which crops, pans, and scans movies. Also, AMC HD is 1080i while FX HD is 720p like all Fox channels.

I can't see it happening... why?
Cablevision/Rainbow brands are Voom, IFC, AMC, and now Sundance, just to name a few. Why would Cablevision/Rainbow, provide IFC, AMC, and Sundance in HD while the Voom fiasco is still actively festering? Unless, all that has been prearranged and Cablevision/Rainbow wouldn't consider pulling' a Charlie on Charlie, perhaps.
AMC has a massive following. IFC's eclectic programming has a very strong viewership.

Turner Classic Movies would be good to have in HD once it exists. Those are truly classics, unlike AMC...
I haven't seen any HD 4:3 movies, but AMC HD SD movies were shown in stretch-o-vision last time I checked. IIRC, FX HD shows SD movies pillar boxed. That sounds positive. Do they show all movies OAR?? Even 4x3 ones??
