I can't get lower than 55.5W on C band yet but here are a couple of older posts that mention reception on Intelsat 11 (43W): http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/posts/3065395/ and http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/posts/3055376/ And the Intelsat 11 (C band footprint): http://www.satbeams.com/footprints?beam=5703 Perhaps someone can confirm if anything is still available there and what they are using to receive it. On Amazonas 3 KU, I only get three test patterns - 90cm w/ pll lnb.

According to the footprints, Intelsat 11 is visible for North America. For Amazonas3, it looks like it is visible in Texas, but would probably require a larger dish to pull in.

I have never tried to pull in Intelsat 11. I have successfully pulled in SES6, so, IntelSat 11 shouldn't be a problem.

Here is the footprint for Amazonas3

Well, i just did a scan on 43w cband. I pulled in 11 video channels and 5 audio channels. Everything in Spanish.

Curta! <-- Jazz channel??
Paraguay TV
TV Camara
TVSA Int Latino
America Repetidoras
America Internacional
America Interior
America 24 Interior
Junin TV
Tveo
Teletica

Thanx all of you for your input, I guess I need to use C-band only to get the channels. Again Many Thanx guys!

I have no C-band line of sight to anything east of 50W because of trees. A blind scan of Amazonas3 here in central NC with my 8ft dish yields 11 FTA channels. None are in English and not all are full-time channels. Quality varies depending on the time of day but is generally between 48 and 65.
