So why is the Amazon app only on the Hopper and not on the Joeys? What does this really solve?
I am having sound drops using the Amazon prime video. The CC is now needed to fill in the sound drops.
Still not seeing app. Looked under main menu and apps but it's not coming up. And yes I have a Hopper3.

Failed you, apparently. I'm OK with itReally? How does Netflix do it then? LOL.
If this is the limitation, then this is actually stupid. Amazon failed us.
Hi, reubenray! Yes, that is correct. The Hopper 3 must be connected to Internet in order to access the app and stream movies/TV shows. -Christina W.I am assuming this app is using data and it is not being sent down from the sats. I am connected via ethernet. I am asking for a neighbor that has poor internet service.

What's the point? On 2nd/3rd TV I still need to the Roku or Fire or something else.
And any audio is limited by TV sound output anyway.
All this fanfare over this? Basically a lot of fanfare over a failure to launch
Mine works on the optical out on my Hopper, just fine. Maybe you’re doing something wrong
Doesn't your TV have a TOSLINK out port or ARC?No, I am talking the Amazon app on the Joey.
No, I am talking the Amazon app on the Joey.
Limiting it just to the Hopper unit is silly.
