What's interesting is that XBox 360 is still not beating the PS2.
Also, the combined PS2/PS3 is beating the Wii. Sony doesn't look to be in too bad a position. Be interesting to see what happens when more games finally come out for the PS3.

As for the PS3 sucking, where was XBox 360 at this time in it's life cycle?

The Wii is very impressive at this point in it's cycle.

Whats I find important about these numbers is its still hard to find a WII and it had those high sales numbers, the PS3 on the other hand is just out there sitting on store shelves.

PS2 = cheap hardware + outstanding game library.

I have been very entertained looking at the various game boards this morning. Here are a couple of the hilarious posts I've seen on the IGN PS3 board:

"Don't worry guys - Home and LBP were only shown off in March.. That's the REAL month to watch out for."

Also, Nintendo and Microsoft are getting all the action right now. Sony has to settle for watching from the sidelines.

WII PLAY W/ REMOTE 371K
NDS DIDDY KONG RACING 262K
WII LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS 130K
PS2 GUITAR HERO 2 W/GUITAR 130K
360 GEARS OF WAR 119K

360 LOST PLANET: EXTREME CONDITION 111K
WII WARIOWARE: SMOOTH MOVES 109K
360 NBA STREET HOMECOURT 102k

Nice Crackdown number for the 360.

After the new games come out in March and April, it will be interesting to see the PS3 sales figures. Frankly, I'm impressed they are selling as many as they are, considering the available games.

The thing that confuses me is the lack of Wii software sales. It seems like most get it, and are happy to keep playing Wii Sports. Smooth Moves and Zelda are doing well, but not much else....

Shocked by the PS3 dropoff being so severe. They still can't pass their 90 lb. weakling sibling....

I'm also curious who sold the original XBoxes. Someone blew some dust off some boxes to move those....

I STILL haven't seen a Wii just sitting on a shelf anywhere (might be behind the counter, I haven't looked that closely).

I joked about the Wii beating both with the lower price point. I meant it half as a joke, but it is hard to argue with those numbers.....

I wonder if Fox and Disney are reconsidering that whole BluRay only decision.....

There is not much hitting in March and April which would be considered system sellers other than Motorstorm.

Here is what is left to be released for the rest of the month and in April:

March 20, 2007 Armored Core 4 SEGA Action
March 20, 2007 Virtua Tennis 3 SEGA Sports
March 20, 2007 Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Bethesda Softworks RPG
March 20, 2007 Godfather: The Don's Edition, The EA Action
March 22, 2007 Calling All Cars! SCE Action
March 22, 2007 Mortal Kombat II SOE Fighting
March 27, 2007 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent Ubisoft Action
March 27, 2007 Enchanted Arms Ubisoft RPG
March 29, 2007 Go! Puzzle SCE Puzzle
April 16, 2007 MLB '07: The Show SCE Sports
April 17, 2007 F.E.A.R. Vivendi Games Shooter
April 24, 2007 Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas

I'm not a gamer. I was under the impression from other posts that some blockbusters were coming out in that time frame, perhaps ones that more fully utilized the capabilities of the PS3. If that's not the case, I don't foresee an uptick until it is the case.

Of course, they're about to sell millions of these in Europe.

Hardly. With Nielson videoscan reporting Blu-ray titles outselling HD-DVD by two to one, I'm sure they're comfortable with their decision. They just wish the volume of sales would go up faster.

Even if i am a PS3 guy..well i should say PS*...i gotta say i lol'ed at that...

One of the thing i want to say is, The wii is out, but the thing is...will they be able to hang in there in the long run? will they be able to still compete against the other 2 consoles? I mean no offense to GameCube, but that console didn't go as far as the xbox or ps2.
I guess we can find out withing the next 1-2 years.

The HD DVD decision isn't hitting a home run for Microsoft BUT 5 of the top 10 titles last month were 360 titles including the #1 title. Wii came next with three and the DS and the PS2 limped along with 1. The games are where the profits are made....

Oblivion better on PS3
