Okay, so I understand the AM21 module will add two OTA tuners to the HR21. Will this then allow the HR21 to record 4 HD feeds at once. 2 SAT and 2 OTA?

No, you are still limited to the same 2 concurrent recordings. The AM21 module just makes the HR21 look like a HR20 with it's internal ATSC tuners, no additional functionality/features are added over what the HR20 can do.
Well, not exactly "look like" the HR20, more like function like the HR20. The AM21 is an add-on box, though it does appear to be very thin.
Sorry for my stupid question but I'm currently an E* subscriber who is thinking about moving to D*. One of the reasons I've been waiting to move is I was told that the newest D* DVR, the HR21 can record two satellite programs at the same time like VIP622 E* has but currently lacks an OTA tuner which I was also was told was coming soon (don't know what that means, remember I'm currently with E*).
If I' reading this right when the upgrade to the HR21 does become available it will allow me to watch two OTA shows at the same time but I can't record off of either of them? Is this right or can I record 4 shows at the same time (2-sat, 2-OTA)?

The HR21 with AM21 (or the HR20) will allow you to record two shows at a time, any combination of satellite and OTA. You can also watch a recorded show while up to two other shows are being recorded. Unlike some of the E* models, it will not output two different shows simultaneously. The OTA tuners in the AM21 are of a newer generation than those in the HR20 (-700, at least) and will deal better with multipath, etc.
So with the HR21 and attached AR21, I will only be able to recorded two shows at the same time unlike the E* 622/722 which will allow me to record 2 sat shows and one OTA show at the same time which I currently do a couple of time a week.

Latest I've heard is sometime in May. They were originally supposed to be out in Feb.
Bob, what version of the HR21 do you have since I see problems when used with a -200 when tuning channels?
