AM21 Power Source

Anyone who has gotten the unit, can you please answer?

Does the AM21 require it's own power source or can it piggyback off of the HR21 for power? Need to know if I should pickup a 2nd powerstrip.

No need for an additional powerstrip.

You take the power cord currently connected to the HR21 and plug that into the AM21. There is a pigtail on the AM21 that then plugs into the HR21s power input plug.

Not only that, the power and USB ports line up perfectly with those on the HR21. I didn't even need to remove the twist-ties from either cable.

Good news... I have too many power cords!

I got mine yesterday fast considering I ordered it last Thursday.

Took all of 5 minutes to install and setup. it took much longer for the damn DVR to initialize itself.

I didn't need to remove the twist ties either.
