Am I the only one who does not like NCAA Tournament Upsets?

We have had a few #15's win. Anybody remember who they were?

A quick Wikipedia tells me only four #15's have ever beaten #2 seeds....

Richmond was the first IIRC. They sent Syracuse packing in 91. I think South Carolina was a 2 that lost to Coppin St in 97 and Hampton beat Iowa St in 2001. Belmont came pretty to close to knocking off dook last year, but unlike horseshoes and hand grenades close doesn't count. :D

I remember that game. First time that I saw Nash. My friends and I called them the "surfer dudes". Helluva upset. I'm telling you guys, this could be the year for a #1 to fall.

HD, I have to ask this:

when your Buckeyes made it all the way to the title game in 2007, they almost lost in round 2 to Xavier if not for a miracle three.

All that hard work that Oden and the Thad Five did could have gone down the toilet to freaking Xavier.

Had Ron Lewis missed that three, you would have been pissed as I am- "We did all that work to lose to a team of muskateers?!"

All hogwash.

My team got taken down by GEORGE F'ING MASON in a regional final - and I STILL love the upsets!

Case closed.

What Sabres is saying is one of the reasons that I love and hate the NCAA Tournament. To me it's the ultimate sporting event, but it is filled with heartbreak. There are still losses that I can't get over. Carolina's losses to Utah in the 98 FF and their loss to BC in 94 when we were #1 in the nation and had the FF in Charlotte are as painful as any I've seen. But in spite of all that, the tournament is fair. Every team has it's share of heartbreak. And when you compare college basketball to college football and their lunacy I'll take the NCAA Tournament even with the heartbreak any time.
