I've been a longtime Dish customer and cant wait out the NFL season ticket any longer. i was lookin at putting an eBay or craigslist system together to stay out of a 24month commitment. I'm keeping Dish for my families main TV watching, so i only need the smallest package to get the ST. Hardware & setup's got me hungup. I think i found a HR20-100 locally. From what I'm seeing its got my basic needs. Hdmi, 2 tuner HD DVR & OTA recording?? Is the triple lnb slimline dish the missing peice of the puzzle or can I get away with a smaller dish? do i need any power inserter for the lnb?
I'm not sure on the the pointing either. looking at the neighboors it appears that the same South-Southwest line of sight generally as Dish(I think 61.5, 110, 119). Does DirectTV have a signal strength assistant on the menu to help me get it dialed in.?

You're stuck with a 2 year commitment. Directv won't activate a new account with owned equipment, it has to be new leased equipment in order to be used. No way around it

Well it is for PC, tablet, smartphone. They may block HDMI on smartphones and tablets but I don't think they could on PC or Mac seeing that many people use it to connect to their monitors or HDTVs.

I'm not sure,I read a lot across the web before I finally made the purchase,there were even some that claimed it also worked on the ps3.Guess we will know for sure in a couple of weeks.

I too am a Dish customer but moving over to Direct on Saturday. Before I made the decision to move I purchased the Madden 25th edition to stream on my laptop but planned to use the new Google Chromecast dongle to wirelessly "airplay" it. It costs $35 if you can get it. Amazon has just shipped it to me after ordering it 3 weeks ago but it might be available on the Google Play store.

But since I made the decision to switch to Direct I canceled my Madden order so hope you got my canceled one . Btw, for those who are wondering, Direct offers way more discounts than the Madden promo for new sign ups.
