I have purchased a manhattan RS-1933 about a month ago with Universal LNBF and 75cm dish and satellite finder. i have done every thing to make it work but all i get is one free channel ( Shalom channel), some radios and about 8 scrambuled. Im trying to reach the Galaxy 19 but it seems receiver gets signal from only transponder. I got an other Universal LNBF and changed the cable from lnb to receiver but still the same problem is there. so frustrating. please help! Thanks!

First...Welcome to Satelliteguys!!

Do you have your receiver set up for a Universal LNBF? LO Needs to be set to 10600 and 22kHz turned on.

Welcome to SatelliteGuys!

The dish is aimed at the wrong satellite. Currently you are on the 99w satellite instead of 97w.

Place the receiver on the G19 satellite setting and select transponder 12152 from the TP list. Slowly pan the dish to the east only a few degrees. A small TV sitting beside the dish will make your install easy!

If you are on the East Coast, slightly increase the dish elevation angle.
On the West Coast, slightly decrease the dish elevation angle.
Central US, maybe no or little change in elevation.

or move the dish east, just a little bit, so that shalom just disappears. Should then be able to select the G 19 transponder, and see quality. Peak dish from there.
BTW: mark your pole/mount while shalom is coming in, just in case of, so you can return to the 'starting point'.
I still do this all the time. It just saves a lot of (^$*)() here.

Thank you! You guys are awesome :)
I will try it to see what happens.

Where I should set the LO to 10600? I don't see any place to set LO. Do you mean I have to define a transponder?

I don't know how to set up my receiver for universal LNBF.

Not real familiar with the 1933 to give you step by step, but yes you will need to go into settings and then transponder list. Then one of the colored keys will be for add new transponder. It will tell you on screen which one. When you get there add 12152 for frequency then polarity V or VERTICAL, then Symbol Rate enter 20000. To enter your 10600 for your LO that will be in your antenna set-up screen. If you have the pre-installed list it should already be there. Under Galaxy 19 or G19.

Once you get into your antenna setup look for LNB LO then arrow down to it and hit OK on the remote then arrow down and it should have a universal setting that says 9750-10600. Use that one for now if you want until you get going. Later I would change it to 10600 and turn 22kHz on to save on scan times.

Is there a setting for the LNB type - Universal? If so, just select Universal type LNB (this already has the correct settings of 9750/10600 for your LNBF type).

You must select an active transponder on the Galaxy 19 menu for the receiver to "see" the satellite. You shouldn't have to create a new transponder, just select one from the prebuilt TP list. I would suggest 12152 as it is not duplicated on other satellites. You could also try 12177 TP.

edit: ke4est replied while i was typing...

My current setting for LNB is 10700 where it shows signal for shalom, but when I change it to other freq signal disappears. I tried to select the 9750-10600 but in my receiver it is listed as Unicable(9750-10600) when I select it, another page pops up asking followings:
If channel: 1,2,3,...8
Center Freq: 900 MHz ... 2200 MHz
Sat Position: A, B
I don't know how to set these.
Thanks!

The problem is that I don't know the rest of LNB settings that I have listed.

Also should I use this freq range or just go with 10700 that already have signal for Shalom channel?

The other problem is that My receiver find the same channel when I search any satellite!!!???

No, you need to enter the correct L.O. for the LNB you are using.
If there is no "Universal" preset in the Setup Menu, look for one that show L.O. Low & L.O. High, and enter 9750 for Low, and 10600 for High

The other problem is that My receiver find the same channel when I search any satellite!!!???
Correct - the Receiver is the dumbest piece in the Chain. It does not actually know what Sat the Dish is pointed at, just what Sat you selected from the Satellite List.

No you need to follow instructions already given and set to universal or set it to 10600 and make sure 22kHz is on.

Yes if you do not move your dish physically to another sat it will still scan no matter what you pick. Those are there to help you keep things separted instead of having every thing in one big mess.

Other Settings....make sure you do not have any motor controls on or any switch settings active.

Thanks guys! I just got lots of channels from Galaxy 19 :)
But without LNB setting for universal, I left it on 10700.
If I change it 9750-10600 it also ask three other things that I have to select:
- If channel: 1,2,3,...,8
-center freq: 900, ...
-Sat position: A,B
Who I should set these?

Yes you will get channels to scan in that way but all the scan in Transponders will be off by 100 MHz. It can cause confusion down the road.

Happy to hear that you are getting somewhere though. :)
