For the first time, the annual March women's soccer tournament in Portugal called the Algarve Cup is being carried live through Integrated Sports Media, on DISH as pay-per-view according to this news:
http://www.integratedsportsnet.com/article.php?article_id=245

The US WNT (Women's National Team) under new head coach Tom Sermanni plays matches on March 6 (Iceland), 8 (China), 11 (Sweden led by previous WNT coach Pia Sundhage), and 13 (qualification).

Where can I find more information on how to purchase some of these matches? I don't see anything on DISH's Web site, and no one has said anything here.

C'mon DISH, let me give you some more money!

The post from Integrated Sports that is linked above states the following:

"If you have ever purchased a PPV event in the past such as UFC, a boxing event, or soccer match, the games will be available on the same channel that your TV provider broadcast those events.
"

This would be ch 455. The first US Women's team match is 3/06 at 6am (PST). A film titled Sound City is on ch 455 all day on 03/06.

Is Dish really carrying the Algarve Cup?

For anyone still interested...

The US WNT plays Germany tomorrow in the Algarve Cup final. I think DISH has it live in pay-per-view, maybe $15?

But it's also rebroadcast free on Fox Soccer Channel at 2pm CDT on Friday March 15.

Go, U.S.A.!
