HArd to believe that I am losing just one transponder, all the others are OK. I am using my Geosat Micro HD.
Not even a blind scan works.

A few of the 97w transponders are affected by adjacent satellite interference and the signal can be lost quite quickly if slightly out of alignment. 12152 disappears quickly if the aiming is optimized for 11842, but all transponders work well if the dish is optimized for a balance SQ reading on multiple transponders. For Glorystar system installs, we suggest peaking and balancing SQ readings on TP frequencies: 12152, 12115 and 11842.

But is still Al Jazeera English news available in 97 W?

I checked during the weekend the 12152 H TP and there was no signal at all. I performed a full scan, got more than 200 channles but nothing is coming out of 12 152 H, 20,000

You should get at least 280 channels. Perhaps a little more tweaking is in order. I find 12152 is up and down as well. But then I expect that since my dish is only an offset 24".

I did it again yesterday w/o changing anything and Bingo! 70% signal quality. I will never know what happenned the last Sunday. I agreed with Brian, this is probably one of the best international news station.

I would check your coax, connectors, and any switches. Besides obvious weather conditions, these are usually the next culprits for intermittent signal loss.

Coax, connectors, switches for just single TP and all the others OK? Hmmmm. However weather or interference may play a roll on it.

I just suggest it because I lost a few transponders one time, and upon inspection I was surprised to see a loose coax connection. When tightened back, everything was fine again.
