Ahhhh...to be a rich and powerful athlete!

Two completely different scenarios. Ray-Ray was involved in a gun murder outside a club. Stallworth was involved in a traffic accident.

When you point a gun and fire it at someone, you have an intention to kill. I tend to believe that Stallworth didn't "intend" to kill the guy walking across a 4 lane highway.

It doesn't matter if there was intent or not and it doesn't matter if the guy used the crosswalk or not. The minute he decide to drive knowing his BAC was over the limit, he is guilty. Even if he didn't know what his BAC was, that's not a excuse.

But that's the thing. The toxicology report hasn't even been released yet. There was one "rumor" released by the sensationalized local news outlet in Miami and that's it. Nothing official from the authorities yet.

Well we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, let's get back to the original topic since there is another thread for what you guys are talking about already

Supposedly this is the reason Tejada got just a slap on the wrist:

Palmeiro was suspended by baseball later that year after failing a drug test. That House panel looked into whether Palmeiro should be investigated for perjury; he said the positive test must have been caused by a tainted B-12 vitamin injection given to him by Tejada.

That led investigators to Tejada, who was questioned at a Baltimore hotel. He was not under oath, but court documents say he was advised "of the importance of providing truthful answers."

The Associated Press: Tejada gets year probation for misleading Congress
