...And service cancelled. Offered $40/month off for at first 6 months (later 12), but I remained resolute.
Thanks, Dish for 8 years of good TV.
Good call. Looks much better. Didn't realize they had 2 menu choices.
Oh well, watched the (sadly disappointing) Doctor Who finale. Time to run the cancellation gauntlet.
I only do Dish during football season. It's $5/month for putting it on pause.
That won't happen because it would be political suicide for any politician that doesn't support legislation against it. However, that probably won't prevent selected events from going the pay route. I've heard rumors the Superbowl might go the pay route by 2021.Actually, I expect the "programmers" to address that problem by essentially ending free TV. Cracks are already appearing in OTA.
A friend of mine has DirecTV and he called to get some discounts. He threatened to cancel and they called his bluff and sent him boxes. He knew he screwed up but luckily the day after he canceled he got a call from the retention department and they gave him everything he asked for to keep him.
I still have my original Hopper and Joey boxes. All I need is return shipping labels. I will find out on Friday how hard cancelling is.
