I've put up a few 10' dishes & the closer to the ground the better. I couldn't imagine wanting to take a 10' dish down off a 20' mast without renting a boom lift. If you live in So Cal, I'm sure there are plenty available. Like Tucan mentioned "More down to Earth" LOL
Personally I like the mesh dishes. I have a solid & mesh. The signal is not near as good on the solid, plus the dish was very very heavy.
Still I got to say that if you are going to get a BUD, start at least with a 10', don't even think of a 6' If you find anything larger then 10', grab it!
