Adding Usb DVB FTA to media player ?

I don't know if this would work.

Would adding a usb DVB FTA box to a media player work ?

Anyone have any ideas ?

Anything will work as long as the firmware/OS of the player supports it. I don't think stock firmware in any of those players will do that.
But hacked firmware, like the one that added support for USB network adapters in the first generation WD TV - might.
The prerequisite would be an open source friendly driver for the chip in the DVB adapter.
