Adding/Removing Programming Online

I know you can add programming online, but I am wondering if you can also remove programming online. Also, once you add, say, a premium package, are you committed to it for any certain length of time? In other words, could I add HBO one day and then cancel it the next day and only be billed for one day? Anybody have any experience with this?

yes it is prorated, and makes the bill look real ugly.

I did this every Sunday during the Spring to watch Deadwood. Extremely easy and also extremely fast. Seconds after I clicked to change online it was on on my TV.
