Adding pictures to posts???

I poked around but couldn't figure out how to add a jpg to a forum post.

Please, how is this done? I clicked the "insert image" button but no matter where I put the picture it didn't get into the post.

You use an outside provider like photobucket or imageshack and follow their insert image instructions...
