Adding more lines for more receivers

I am currently using the 622 receiver and I want to add two for receivers. Do I

need to connect two more lines from the Dish antenna or is there a way around doing this?

you need one line from the switch for each receiver. If it's a dual-tuner and your switch is not a DPP44 and your LNBF is not a DPPTwin, you need two lines.

Is the switch on the dish or somewhere else?

For all versions of the Twin and Quad, the switch is in the assembly with the 2 LNBs. The DP21, DP34, DPP44 and legacy SW## switches are external and can be mounted either at the dish or at a central distribution point.
