Believe me...I live it and more than you know when it comes to my teams. ALOT more than most.
You are good. You made me laugh!!!

LMAO! He only rejected it because the guy there has a long term deal. The guy at Ohio State is a bandaid, otherwise known as a "interim coach". It's even MORE "assinie" to think that a coach that has moved around so much and has CLEARLY stated that other than Ohio State, Notre Dame is his OTHER "dream job"...would think he would be there for the rest of his career.
Some times, "throwing cold water" on something brings reality into the situation.
You are good. You made me laugh!!!

I criticize my team more than most do theirs. Loudly and quite in a profane way as well. There are plenty of post to prove that and anyone that has been here long enough...I have been here since 2004... know that know that I have nothing to prove about how harsh I am about my teams.
I have no idea what that means...who had a long-term deal when Meyer passed on Notre Dame?
Sandra
Yes, yes......we know....we know.....
WOW...when in doubt, act confused. When or if, bcause I quite honestly do not remember IF Meyer was ever offered the Notre Dame job... I thought it was SUPPOSEDLY offered or PRESSUMED to be offered to Meyer after Brian Kelly had be offered the coaching job in South Bend while he was the Cincinnati Bearcats coach.
LMAO! He only rejected it because the guy there has a long term deal.
LMAO! There is no reason to doubt, ask or laugh... but I get you!
Not a problem...it was a long time ago. I certainly could have used some distaff help growing up with my five maniacal brothers!!!
Sandra
sent you a pm. you're ignoring me?
thanks sandra. i didn't know how else to grab your attentionSorry rey...check your inbox!
Sandra
You said this about Urban Meyer and Notre Dame:
Now you just said 'I do not remember IF Meyer was ever offered the Notre Dame job'
So which is it? How can you say he rejected it (AND give a specific reason why he rejected it) and then say you don't even know if he was offered the job to reject?
Sandra
He had the chance to coach Notre Dame...he passed. ASSURING us you know what's on Urban's mind is assinine...but hey, on the INTERWEBS everyone can say what another person is thinking!
You should at least wait until he's actually hired before you try to throw cold water from Miami on Buckeye Nation.
Sandra
thanks sandra. i didn't know how else to grab your attention
there ya go...grabbing Sandra again!!
Nice try Sunshine..but YOU stated it before...
I was going on the assumption this 2nd "dream job" offer came after he decided to leave Gainesville. You brought that he had a chance. Like I said, I never saw or heard if it was ever offered. So that mean it is still on his 'bucket list'.
But nice try with the bob-n-weave and the confusion bit. It was good.

Once again, your gonna get all kind of denials until it happens and is announced.
This is nothing out of the ordinary with ANY high profile coach.
I stated his OTHER dream job was Notre Dame. YOU...YOURSELF stated:
"....He had the chance to coach Notre Dame...he passed...." Not me, but YOU... Here it is again:
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Urban Meyer is leaving undefeated Utah to become coach at Florida, where he will quadruple his salary and inherit a talented team completing a frustrating season.
THAT'S why I said he passed on Notre Dame. Guess you weren't paying attention in 2004.Meyer told his players before practice Saturday what they already knew -- that he is taking over the Gators after a two-year run at Utah that vaulted him to the top of many schools' wish lists.
"I avoided it for a long time because I didn't want to distract them and there was nothing to discuss," Meyer said.
Among the schools coveting Meyer was Notre Dame, which sent athletic director Kevin White and the school's new president to meet with the coach on Thursday night. But Meyer said Florida's seven-year, $14 million offer and the opportunity to coach in one of the top conferences in the nation were too good for the 40-year-old coach to pass on.
And I stated that he rejected it because the coach there has a long term deal. Do I know if he was offered the position. NOPE. You made it sound like you KNEW for sure he DID reject the job when you had no clue.
Nov. 30, 2004:
Notre Dame fired Willingham after he compiled a 21-15 record in three seasons, including five losses of 31 points or more. Willingham had the shortest tenure of any Notre Dame coach since Hunk Anderson from 1931 to '33.
Dec. 4, 2004: Utah coach Urban Meyer is named Florida's new coach, spurning Notre Dame's offer to replace Willingham. Meyer, a former Irish assistant coach, led the Gators to BCS national championships in two of his first four seasons.
Dec. 13, 2004: The Fighting Irish hired New England Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis as their new coach. Weis, a 1978 Notre Dame graduate, becomes the first alumnus to coach the Fighting Irish since Hugh Devore served as interim coach in 1963.
