According To D* Tech, No DOD For HR21 Subs Until February

Is this really true. I was talking to a D* tech tonight because I wanted to exchange my HR21 for a HR20 only because I wanted OTA. In doing that I found out that they won't be rolling out Directv on-demand for HR21 boxes until February. They also said they can do a switch out of my receiver, but they can't guarantee I'll get a HR20 for it.

Just to clarify when you say a "D* tech" are you meaning someone that works for DirecTV's technical department or are you meaning a contract installer?

Even the current Cutting Edge software for the HR21 doesn't have the DoD (VoD) feature enabled but hopefully that will be coming soon.

One more reason NOT to get that box; although I can see why DirecTV has it without OTA (at least on their behalf) there must be another HD DVR in the pipe; right?
