About time Voom said something

Richie, the only point you're missing is that Monsters HD suddenly got back on track in April. Their film selection not only expanded, but the amount of movies per day went back to a reasonable number as well. The channel disappeared just when they seemed to be getting their sh*t together after that absurdity that started in November...

June was supposed to be even better. Creepshow, The Burning, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Madman were all going to make an appearance after a 1 year hiatus.

At least The Thing is available on HD-DVD. The ones I listed (with the possible exception of Creepshow) will probably never be.

One of the only slasher films (80s) I haven't seen yet. Was looking forward to it on Monsters.

If your at lets say 89 channels and want to get to 100. Isn't it better to add channels rather than remove channels? They just removed 15 channels how is getting to 100 easier?

What if the space occupied by that 15 HD channels is just what's left for DISH to reach that 100?

Stop your usual insult and go look at that tranpsonder table for yourself, on 129 DISH has barely any free transponders left for any new HDs.

Removing 15 will not get you closer to 100...Especially since there is very little Dish can add at this point, besides movie channels. Has someone counted actual, live (even stretched) HD channels to get a total? I would be SHOCKED if there were even 40.

This crap isn't even debatable. I subscribed to Dish until this year. I used to LOVE Monsters HD until it went downhill in early November of 2007. You people can say what you want about how the channels were getting better again or whatever but I saw with my own two eyes how one of my favorite channels and the rest of the suite took a turn for the worse. Between the Voom flush out of good programming and my cable company catching up with the other HD channels Dish carried that I watched, I left Dish. Voom's decline was seriously a huge factor in that. I don't blame Dish for dropping them. But at the same token it seems Dish is blaming Voom for their huge subscription loss which is mostly due to the fact that DirecTV whooped their ass in the number of channels.

I was thinking of signing back up with Dish HD for the HD only package after the channel adds but this whole Voom mess has made me think to heck with that. I am going to bite the bullet on the price of equipment for two HD-DVRs and go DirecTV for a while. They have the most channels in HD around.
