I'm aiming at Echostar 7 as my true south satellite. It seems like I'm not quite at it because the level and quality are still in the red. When I switched from USALS to Diseqc 1.2 on the "motorized settings" and nudged it to the west, I was able to get the signal and quality in the green. Would it be correct for me to get it at its highest level using this method and then go back up to the roof and adjusting my true south direction on the satellite accordingly by physically moving it to the direction that achieved the highest setting on the receiver? Thanks!

If you can get the signal "in the green" by nudging you may not need to do any further adjustments. It is not uncommon to do this to fine tune your signal. However, on the Coolsat your signal should be in the high 70's or low 80's. If not you might need to peak your elevation. You could always put your other LNB on and try some other birds with that. As long as your true south is saved you can't lose anything.
